Skyline Provides Technology Grant to Ashe County Schools
This spring, SkyLine/Skybest Communications completed its fifth year of providing a
technology grant to Ashe County Schools.  The total awarded this year was $19,000.00, with
funding focused iPad's for classroom use. Since the program first began, SkyLine has provided grants, which have provided a significant boost to area school systems’ plans to place SMART Boards in computer labs, media centers and classrooms. SMART’s award-winning systems transform learning by helping teachers bring more collaboration
and interactivity into the classroom. "Our system is extremely grateful for Skyline's support of our school system, said Amy Walker, Technology Director for Ashe County Schools.  "The SkyLine Technology Grant initiative challenged us to raise the bar in our technology program.  This partnership has equipped teachers with tools that enhance teaching and learning and allowed them to infuse technology-rich lessons into the classroom setting." Travis Reeves, Superintendent, Ashe County Schools.

The official grant announcement was held at SkyLine’s corporate office in May.
